HS Solid Fuels is a family-owned company founded in 2018 and based in Northern Ireland. At HS Solid Fuels, we understand the importance of comfort, simplicity and time in everyday life.
Our mission is to supply premium-quality products that are time-saving and easy to store. We offer a wide range of quality wood fuels, including wood pellets, various types of RUF briquettes, Nestro heat logs and much more.

Wood Sawdust Briquettes
Wood sawdust briquettes are a sensible alternative to traditional firewood.
- Only dry, clean and chemically untreated wood waste (sawdust and shavings) is used in the manufacturing process.
- No chemical additives, adhesives or binders are used.
- Briquettes are produced by pressing sawdust using a hydraulic press. Under high pressure, the natural lignin in wood binds the material into a homogeneous structure.
- Suitable for all solid fuel boilers, fireplaces and stoves.
- Convenient to store – no chopping or drying required.
- Economical – one pallet of briquettes provides a calorific value equivalent to approximately 3.5–4 cubic metres of dry firewood.
- Environmentally friendly – produced from wood waste and part of a carbon-neutral CO₂ cycle.
Wood Fuel Pellets
Wood fuel pellets are an excellent alternative to firewood, briquettes, coal, gas, or liquid heating fuels.
Their popularity is driven by the ability to inexpensively modernise existing solid fuel boilers (wood, coal or briquette-fired) by installing an automatic pellet burner. This allows the boiler to operate automatically – igniting, shutting down and maintaining the desired indoor temperature without daily manual input.
Wood fuel pellets are a renewable, CO₂-neutral fuel produced from sawmill by-products and low-value wood.
Wood pellets are used for both domestic heating and industrial applications. To ensure consistent quality and performance, we sell only certified wood pellets.
